State of Control by Thomas Kilpper

In an amazing exhibtition artist Thomas Kilpper created the world's biggest linoleum print. Around ten assistants carved political scenes and portraits into the 800 qm floor of former GDR Ministry for State Security (MfS). Another team helped him printing them. This intervention on 1,600 square meters offers a historical retrospective on various state concepts of surveillance and repression, from the Nazi period to the digital present. The exhibition runs until 26th of July. Visit nbk's website for more information.
